FinishLine Racing School's “Fifth Edition” Chassis Manual (New for 2009)
This Chassis Manual is written & published by Mike Loescher. Mike is the chief instructor of The FinishLine Racing School. His credentials include over 40 years of Racing and Chassis Set Up experience. He is also a former NASCAR Modified Track Champion. So he knows and understands both the “behind” the wheel strategy and the "chassis" know how, to get you to Victory Circle. Mike has successfully coached drivers from Indy Car, Winston Cup, all the way down to the five year olds that drive Quarter Midgets!! So you can see that Mike is a very talented driving coach and chassis professional.

In Mike's own words:

After 30 plus years of racing, I decided to write this Chassis Book and share some of my knowledge with racers from the local short tracks all the way to Winston Cup. The readers opinions have been varied. One comment was; "it was way over my head" and another said, "it was way too simple"! I know this dates me - but when I was racing and winning, ingenuity….. not what you could buy off the shelf, got you to Victory Circle. It was a different era then, it was using parts you made yourself because there was no C&C machines or parts for sale. You had to use ingenuity and fine tuning to make your chassis work.

In the 172 pages you will not find any "black magic", or newly discovered "Speed Secrets". What you will find is "Basics". Remember the one thing that separates Ray Evernham from other Winston Cup Teams that are struggling is, not money spent, it's that Ray crosses the T's and dots the I's.

When the qualifying field for Martinsville is only separated by 3: 10th's of a second, you had better have your chassis 100% - Close enough doesn't count. For example there is nothing sexy about bump steer but it's a common area that gets passed over on most race cars, because it's considered too difficult. Remember close enough - won't get you to victory lane.

Enjoy this book and use it often. If you struggle or don't understand any set ups in this book - I'm only a phone call away. And if you think the contents of this book is too simple, you need to read it again……. It's the basics that count.

The manual also contains Chassis Set Up sheets, lap times, plus all of Mike's Tips & Tricks. It contains over 172 pages of jam-packed information, including pictures and illustrations to help you understand your race car.

This manual is a definite asset and will be used repeatedly throughout your racing career for reference and the knowledge contained within it.

Imagine that ..... A great deal for more than 172 + pages of chassis set up knowledge & experience !!

FinishLine Racing School "Chassis" Students are WINNERS!

Some Quotes from just a "few" of our students

Johnathan Schwemler: Petawawa Ontario
My Chassis book arrived before I expected it to and was packed well. The pages are already starting to show some wear though, but I think its because of all the reading by myself and my racing family have been doing. I'm considering purchasing two more for Christmas gifts! I'm definitely considering some of your side options as well, I believe in the products.

Charlie Daniels: Albuquerque, NM
"I attened FinishLine Racing School but I pre-purchased the chassis book so that I'll be prepared for the knowledge that Mike shares with us in chassis class!"

Rodney Curtis: Wheeling, WV
"What a great asset the FinishLine Racing School Chassis book is, I even used it when we tested our race car for the NASCAR Dash Series at Daytona International Speedway!"

Dustin Mergell: Flower Mound, TX
" Even though I race on Dirt, the FinishLine Racing School chassis book directly relates to my driving - Mike helped us make a few chassis changes - other than that, we are ready!"

Ron Beauchamp: LaSalle, Ontario, Canada
"I attended the FinishLine Racing School four years ago - but I needed a "refresher" course so I purchased the Version II chassis book from FinishLine!"

Maureen O'Keefe: Stevens Point, WI
"What a great Christmas present - you can't go wrong purchasing safety apparel and a FinishLine Racing School chassis book for that race driver that's special to you!"
