Barry Grant Traction Master Carburetors
with Variable Opening Rates on the Secondaries.

What's the Advantage?

The Traction Master (patent-pending) is an innovation that provides alternative timing for the opening of the secondary throttle plates of the Demon and other standard square-flange-style fourbarrel carburetors equipped with 4-corner idle and throttle plates of 1-11/16” and 1-3/4” in diameter.

The timing of the secondaries can be varied from 1:1 (where the primary and secondary throttle plates open simultaneously) to 30° (primaries are open 30° before the secondaries are activated), 45°, and 60°.

The Traction Master provides greater throttle control, and its benefits to the oval track racer, both asphalt and dirt, are considerable. When traction conditions alter, say, between qualifying and heat races, the Traction Master with its quickrelease mechanism can be removed and replaced in seconds. With the vehicle stationary, change a 1:1 -style linkage to a 30°, 45°, or 60° (no tools required). Its benefits are also invaluable to racing schools and their students.

The Traction Master baseplate assemblies, which are manufactured from 6061 billet aluminum, are offered as options to the Demon OT (oval track) range of carburetors. To order a Demon oval track carburetor with the Traction Master option, simply state the original Demon part number, but use the suffix TM instead of OT. To order the Traction Master baseplate assemblies separately, use the four part numbers listed below:

Tire Conditioner

Delivers lower lap times and a more comfortable feel.  The conditioner provides you with many procedural options.  Scuffing the tires prior to treatment is not necessary.  The conditioner is also repeatable week after week.

Qualifying Spray

Designed to heat your tires up faster.  There will be minimal durometer change if the tries have been treated.  It is compatible with our tire conditioners.  The Qualifying Spray wears off in 3-4 laps or one heat cycle.  The tires will be sniffer proof 10-15 minutes after application.
